Allen County Fiscal Court is accepting resumes for the position of:

PARKS AND RECREATION DIRECTOR
Salary: $40,000–$50,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
This is an exciting opportunity to help lead and develop parks and recreational opportunities throughout Allen County, including the new Allen County Sports Park.
‍

The Parks and Recreation Director will be responsible for overseeing all county-owned parks
and recreational facilities, including:
Four baseball/softball fields
Soccer/football field
Fishing ponds
Basketball court
Pickleball courts
Other county parks and recreational facilities
‍

Responsibilities will include overseeing maintenance and operations, coordinating facility scheduling, organizing and promoting tournaments and sporting events, working with sports organizations and community groups, and helping develop the future of parks and recreation in Allen County.
‍

The Director will work with the Allen County Judge Executive, Allen County Fiscal Court, and Allen County Parks and Recreation Board. When park and recreation responsibilities permit, the Director may also assist with other Allen County operations and projects.
‍

Applicants should have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to work effectively with the public, sports organizations, county officials, employees, contractors, and community groups. Experience in parks and recreation, sports administration, facility management, event coordination, grounds maintenance, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
